Here is an appreciation E-mail from the Executives of Nigerian community association Queensland (NCAQ) on the visit of the High commissioner on 5th of May 2012.
Our People,
thank
you for your great
support during the visit of His Excellency, High Commissioner Federal
Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Ayoola Olukanni and members of his
mission. He sends his appreciation for the turn out
and your engagement in the discussions from 5pm-8:30pm which were
meaningful, revealing and educative.
We
are happy to inform that Canberra is able to process applications for
Nigerian e-passports (please get one - it is your right), visas and
matters on Trade without hassle sequel to our requests. Please visit
Nigerian High Commission Website for further information http://www.nigeria-can.org.au/
We
had the opportunity to be at the meeting of His Excellency with
Queensland Assistant Minister for Communities, a group of business
women/men and CEOs. His Excellency presented our community as a group of
professionals who are
making contributions to the development of Australia at our different
areas of vocations and willing to be part of any initiative on business
and Trade in Nigeria.
In
an effort to redeem the image of Nigeria in view of the 419 and
internet fraud, he met with Queensland Police Service (Anti Fraud Unit)
during which strategies for addressing the issues were discussed and put
in place.
The NCAQ Executive would initiate discussions soon on the proposal of His Excellency to form a Pan Nigerian
Association.
We
have to thank you for your support. Please let us remember that we have
a lot to gain in coming together and presenting a common front.
Regards kindly,
Executive, NCAQ
