Young Africans Planning Day

Email from QACC.

Imagine create inspire is the theme for National Youth Week 2012.

Queensland African Communities Council (QACC) calls all young African Australians to come together to imagine a new vision for yourselves, create a new youth network and inspire each other to achieve.

The Young Africans Planning Day is happening on Saturday, 12 May 2012. It is about creating a QACC youth organisation run by young Africans for young Africans. Our aim is to build the network, led by young Africans Australian and supported by QACC to engage their peers in leadership and community service.

At QACC, our goal is to inspire, encourage and empower Young African Australians to become leaders in their communities.

All African Australians between 15 and 30 years living in Queensland are welcome to attend the event to step out, speak out and stand out on the issues and opportunities that matter to them.

The day will be run by young African Australians and it is an opportunity for young people to create the network they want, including developing its leadership structure, strategic outlook, events and activities.

All you have to do is bring yourself, your ideas and your sense of fun.
